Disney's Helping the Rents!!

Walt Disney's internet group is preparing to launch family.com which geared mostly at moms but focuses on parenting. They are going to have parent themed blogs and information on education and family travel as well as parenting tips, and suggestions. Disney think that although there are lots of sites that have parenting information, they feel that their trusted name brand of serving families will attract parents to their new site. You can check out this article HeRe

I think this is great that Disney is doing a parenting site. I agree that the Disney name will attract people, and that this website will give Disney even more money that they alredy have.... My only fear that the Disney name atracts lots of parents when it comes to travel and things of that nature but I don't think that if a mom did a google search for parenting advice they might not think that Disney might give advice that is a little immature. We'll see how it goes.........

Sure, your 2 cents might not be for this idea totally, and neither is mine... I'll tell you why...
It's excellent that a site like this would enable parent to seek counseling or links to family-rendered sites, but I'm afraid most parents will find this as an alternative to true parenting.
(But I guess that's the same logic that says cell phone-dependency is a bad thing for a few, and most other people will learn to use cell phones and first-person communication mutualistically.)

And if you're worried about Disney being immature, check the newer Disney TV Shows or Disney movies... they're not totally out of touch with reality nowadays.
